Google adds new features and perks to YouTube Premium ‘for free’

Google-owned YouTube has announced that it is rolling out new experimental features for Premium users, including high-quality audio, faster playback speeds on mobile, and the ability to “jump ahead” on web videos to skip directly to the most engaging parts. The last significant upgrade to YouTube Premium came in April 2023, with the addition of SharePlay support.
