Microsoft creates new AI engineering division, read CEO Satya Nadella’s welcome note to employees for head Jay Parikh

Microsoft has launched a new engineering division, CoreAI — Platform and Tools, dedicated to developing core AI technologies and tools for both internal use and customer offerings. The division will be led by Jay Parikh, formerly Facebook (Meta)’s global head of engineering, who joined Microsoft in October. The announcement was made in a memo from CEO Satya Nadella to employees on Monday January 13 welcoming Jay Parikh.
