Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is dismantling its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and dissolving its dedicated DEI team, according to an internal memo sent to employees on Friday. The changes include ending the company’s Diverse Slate Approach in hiring and sunsetting supplier diversity programs.

Janelle Gale, Meta’s vice president of human resources, announced in the memo that the company would shift toward “fair and consistent practices that mitigate bias for all.”
