Ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt has reportedly invested in Relativity Space, a 3D-printed rocket company that competes with Elon Musk’s SpaceX. A Bloomberg report citing sources claimed that Schmidt has been backing the company since last year, providing a significant financial boost. This investment comes after Relativity Space faced challenges raising capital in 2024. The company is among a growing number of startups vying for a share of the space launch market, alongside established players like SpaceX and Firefly Aerospace.Earlier, Schmidt served as the CEO of Google’s parent Alphabet, until 2011, when he transitioned to the role of executive chairman.
