Apple sets a new revenue record in third quarter of 2024: Report

Samsung continues to lead the global smartphone market, securing its position as the top player in shipments. According to a Counterpoint Research report, Samsung accounted for 90% of all smartphones sold worldwide in the third quarter, 2024. This means nearly one in five smartphones purchased globally was a Samsung device. As per the report, global smartphone shipments increased by 2% YoY in Q3 2024, while global smartphone revenues rose 10% YoY, driven by a 7% increase in average selling price (ASP).
