US Army soldier who allegedly hacked President Donald Trump’s calls has been arrested

A US Army soldier has been charged with selling and attempting to sell stolen confidential phone records. 20-year-old Cameron John Wagenius was arrested last month and charged in a Texas court with two counts of unlawful transfer of confidential phone records information. While court records do not specify his rank or station, cybersecurity journalist Brian Krebs identified Wagenius as the individual behind the online alias “Kiberphant0m,” who claimed responsibility for multiple hacks, including accessing call records related to high-profile political figures like Vice President Kamala Harris and President-elect Donald Trump. According to the court filing (seen by Reuters), Wagenius has been transferred to Seattle to face federal prosecution.
