ChatGPT services ‘mostly’ restored after brief outage, confirms OpenAI
OpenAI has said that access to ChatGPT has mostly been restored after the widely popular AI tool stopped working for many users across the world early on Friday, December 27.
ChatGPT’s developer API (application programming interface) and the startup’s newly launched AI video generator Sora were also down for a couple of hours.
“We are currently experiencing an issue with high error rates on ChatGPT, the API, and Sora,” OpenAI posted on its official status page, adding that the outage was caused by an “upstream provider”.
