IRCTC Down: Indian Railways e-ticketing service unavailable on website and app

The online website and mobile app of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the e-ticketing platform of Indian Railways, were temporarily unavailable on Thursday (December 26). IRCTC, the digital arm of Indian Railways handling e-ticketing, confirmed that the outage was caused by scheduled maintenance activities.

The timing of the technical issue is particularly inconvenient, as many passengers depend on the platform for booking and managing their train tickets during the busy holiday season.
