Great expectations: Telcos draw up a long New Year wishlist

Come 2025, India’s top telecom operators will be looking to the government for ensuring a level playing field with global satcom companies such as Starlink and Amazon-backed Kuiper on satellite spectrum access. They are also hopeful that rules will be in place for ensuring large data traffic generators are pushed to share 5G network infrastructure costs with telcos, and OTTs are brought within the ambit of spam regulations.
