Transport tribunal postpones Uber’s permit decision, remains silent on Ola’s licence case
The State Transport Appellate Tribunal (STAT) has scheduled the hearing of Uber’s operational permit in Pune to January 19, while remaining silent on Ola’s case, according to a Pune RTO official.
Ahead of a strike announced last week by Ola drivers operating in the Pune airport’s parking, Aeromall area, STAT issued a stay order signed by its presiding judicial officer N.K. Brahme. The stay order, issued a day before the strike, called for a decision that was scheduled to be heard on Thursday. However, the tribunal deferred its decision, granting a new date in January next year.
