Higher capex need, longer gestation period challenges for electronics sector, govt tells Lok Sabha

The country’s electronics manufacturing sector companies face challenges such as higher capital expenditure requirements, longer gestation periods, lower scale of production, technology transfer, and competing with global players on quality and price, the minister of state for electronics and information technology Jitin Prasada informed the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.
