    Ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt warns of AI risks while backing AI-powered drones

    Eric Schmidt, the former CEO of Google, has embarked on a press tour to warn about the potential unforeseen dangers posed by generative AI.

    “We’re soon going to be able to have computers running on their own, deciding what they want to do,” the 69-year-old tech investor said in an interview on ABC’s ‘This Week’ programme.
