Subscribers return to private telcos as BSNL fails to deliver

Kolkata: Price-sensitive mobile users of Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea (Vi) who had ported out in droves to Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL)-which did not raise prices in July-are swiftly returning to India’s top two telcos amid the state-run carrier’s network quality challenges and absence of a comparable 4G operation, analysts and retailers said.
