Telcos to DoT: Discourage internet suspension by states

NEW DELHI: Telecom operators have urged the government to discourage states from issuing directions to temporarily suspend internet services, saying it inconveniences citizens and cripples critical functions such as money transfer, subsidy transaction and online education.
