‘Delivering muscle gainer in place of whey protein’: Chandigarh consumer commission orders Amazon, its seller to refund Rs 11,875

The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission of Chandigarh has directed Amazon Services and one of its sellers Khandelwal Enterprises to refund Rs 11,875, along with Rs 5,000, to a Kalka resident for wrongly delivering muscle gainer instead of whey protein.

Gurmit, a resident of Kalka in Haryana, alleged in his complaint that on March 4, 2023, he had placed an online order for a ‘Muscle tech Nitrotech 100 per cent Whey Gold Protein Powder Whey Isolate Primary Protein Source Support and recovery Vegetarian Double Rich Chocolate- 4kg’ (product) amounting to Rs 11,875 from Amazon Services Seller Private Limited.
