Vodafone Idea launches AI-powered spam SMS detection system to combat fraud and scams

Vodafone Idea (Vi) is following in the footsteps of Airtel by launching a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered solution aimed at detecting and flagging spam SMS messages. The telecom operator’s latest initiative leverages both AI and machine learning (ML) technologies to provide real-time, network-based detection of unsolicited and potentially harmful messages. This new system is designed to safeguard users from the growing threat of SMS-based fraud, which often serves as a gateway for phishing attacks, identity theft, and other scams.
