Google CEO Sundar Pichai served contempt notice by Mumbai Court over defamatory YouTube video

Google’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sundar Pichai was served a contempt notice by a Mumbai court over YouTube’s failure to remove a defamatory video from the entertainment platform, according to multiple media reports.

The notice issued on November 21 by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court in Ballard Pier said the entertainment platform failed to comply with a March 2023 order to remove a defamatory video targeting the Dhyan Foundation and its founder, Yogi Ashwini, reported the news portal Business Today.
