Mumbai police recovers Rs 1.22 crore of Rs 2.61 crore that housewife lost in cyber fraud

The Mumbai Police helped a 55-year-old housewife from Chembur recover Rs 1.22 crore out of the Rs 2.61 crore that she lost in a cyber fraud on the pretext of earning hefty profits from trading in the stock market.

According to the cyber police officials, the woman’s husband has retired from the IT industry and she has been trading in the stock market for the past two years.

According to the complaint, last month, her number was randomly added to a WhatsApp group. The admin of the group and other members were sharing smart techniques about how to make money from the stock market.
