Secretary telecom, Neeraj Mittal and his chosen caretaker CMD of BSNL Ravi A. Robert Jerad are hell bent on damaging the careers of 13 officers of BSNL, who were devoting their time and efforts for structuring systems that would benefit the company in revenue realisations. Mr Robert was installed as caretaking CMD in BSNL Bhawan from July 15, 2024 for six months. Dr Mittal is an IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre. In Chennai, Mr Robert has worked with him under the IT department of the state government. Other than this qualification, Mr Robert is much junior and was even ineligible, not being able apply for the CMD post for which PESB had recently invited applications.
