How an alert SBI staff saved 61-year-old from losing Rs 13-lakh to ‘Digital Arrest’ scam

A vigilant State Bank of India (SBI) employee averted a significant financial loss for a senior citizen, shedding light on the increasing danger of digital scams aimed at vulnerable individuals.
According to an online report by NDTV, a 61-year-old child specialist and a long-time customer of the SBI’s AC Guards branch in Hyderabad, was targeted by fraudsters claiming he was under “digital arrest.” The scammers instructed him to withdraw his money and break his fixed deposits to avoid further legal trouble.
