    Call of Duty developer Sledgehammer Games may break this franchise tradition with the 2027 release

    The Call of Duty game which is expected to be released in 2027 is reportedly being developed by Sledgehammer Games, the studio behind Modern Warfare 3. This rumour contradicts predictions that suggested that the 2027 title would be a second Black Ops instalment. If these rumours are to be true, the next COD release may potentially break the recent tradition of two-year cycles for Call of Duty subseries.
