Apple may delay these iPhone features until 2026, here’s why

Apple is pushing back several significant iPhone features, including its ChatGPT-rivaling Siri overhaul, to spring 2026, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The delay reflects Apple’s methodical approach to artificial intelligence development amid the AI arms race.
The iPhone-maker’s ambitious “LLM Siri” project, which aims to deliver more sophisticated conversational abilities through in-house large language models, won’t arrive until iOS 19.4, nearly two years after the initial Apple Intelligence announcement in June 2023.
