TikTok CEO consults Musk ahead of potential ban in the US under Trump administration: Report

TikTok’s Chief Executive Officer, Shou Zi Chew, has reportedly sought advice on US-related matters from Elon Musk, a close adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

Citing sources familiar with the discussions, the report stated that Chew recently initiated conversations with the Tesla CEO, asking for his views on topics ranging from the incoming administration to potential tech policies. Neither Musk, TikTok, ByteDance, nor the Trump administration have responded to requests for comment from news agency Reuters.
