Gurgaon police joins hands with RWAs, village heads to fight cybercrimes

The cybercrime unit of the Gurgaon police has roped in RWA heads and village sarpanches to spread awareness against the ever-evolving forms of crimes online. As part of the campaign, the police have now come up with a ‘Cyber Marshal Group’ with RWA office-bearers and village sarpanches as its members to combat cybercrimes.

The police were also seen handing out flyers titled “Stock trading scams and how it happens”. “Cyber criminals lure victims by offering high profits, asking them to invest in the stock market, posing as customs or police officers, or claiming that a parcel contains suspicious items and threatening to implicate the person in a case,
