Prasar Bharati launches its own OTT platform ‘Waves’ with 40+ live channels: Check subscription plans, content offerings, and more

On the occasion of World Television Day, Prasar Bharati, India’s public broadcaster, has taken a significant leap into the digital streaming landscape with the launch of its own over-the-top (OTT) platform, Waves. Promoted as “Family Entertainment Ki Nayi Lehar,” the platform is designed to cater to a diverse audience with its multilingual content and wide-ranging offerings. With over 65 live channels, movies, interactive games, live events, and even online shopping capabilities, Waves aims to become a comprehensive entertainment solution. Available in 12 languages, the platform is set to redefine digital inclusivity by extending its reach even to rural areas, leveraging the BharatNet infrastructure.
