Rapido urges Karnataka to frame bike taxi policy, says 5 lakh drivers’ livelihoods at stake
With the Karnataka government and Rapido caught in a tug of war over bike taxi operations, Aravind Sanka, co-founder of the ride-hailing app, urged the authorities on Wednesday to be more adaptive to changes in the mobility sector and consider drawing up a bike-taxi policy.
“There are two critical aspects for multiple businesses: the policy regime and its alignment with the pace of business evolution. There’s often a gap between how quickly businesses evolve and how fast policies adapt. Bridging this gap is one of the biggest challenges,” Sanka said at the Bengaluru Tech Summit on Wednesday.
