Google launches real-time AQI monitor, Air View +, on Google Maps across India: Here’s how it works
Google launched Air View+, an artificial intelligence-driven air quality monitoring system across India, enabling citizens and government authorities to access real-time pollution data through Google Maps.
The system deploys a network of sensors measuring critical pollutants including PM2.5, PM10, CO2, NO2, Ozone, and VOCs at one-minute intervals. Climate tech firms Aurassure and Respirer Living Sciences have installed these sensors at strategic locations such as administrative buildings, commercial centres, and utility poles to maximise population coverage.
