Facebook Messenger gets AI-powered features like Google Meet, Microsoft Teams

Facebook parent company Meta has launched a suite of calling features for Messenger, designed to make the experience “easier and more reliable”. These updates include AI-powered backgrounds for video calls, HD video calling, noise suppression, audio and video voice messages, and hands-free calling and messaging via Siri.
“With Messenger, we’ve made it simple to connect with the people who matter in your life, whether that means sending Reels to friends or video calling loved ones,” Meta said, highlighting that globally, people collectively spend over 7 billion minutes on calls across Facebook and Messenger every day.
