Apple has a December 18 iCloud backup deadline for these iPhone users

Apple is urging users with older iOS versions to update their iPhones to the latest software to avoid losing access to their iCloud backup. The company has notified users that failing to upgrade could result in the deletion of their iCloud data, emphasizing the importance of staying updated to ensure continued access and security.
In an updated support document, the iPhone maker said that “Starting December 18, 2024, device backups will require iOS 9 or later.” “Afterward, your backup data will be deleted unless you update to iOS 9 or later,” it further added.
