Bengaluru man beats to death minor son over mobile phone addiction, attempts to secretly cremate body

The Bengaluru police on Saturday arrested a 47-year-old man for allegedly killing his minor son over his mobile phone addiction and refusal to attend school.

The accused, Ravikumar, is a carpenter from Yelachenahalli. The deceased was identified as Tejas, 14. The police said Ravikumar was frustrated with Tejas for his poor academic performance, frequent outings with friends, and constant use of mobile phones.
