‘Phone taken away by parents’, 19-year-old domestic worker kills self at Noida society: Police

A 19-year-old domestic worker allegedly died after hanging herself from the iron staircase on the terrace of Golden Palm society in Noida’s Sector 168 in the early hours of Monday, said police.

According to police, the deceased used to work in a flat as a house help. Police said she was upset after her parents had allegedly confiscated her mobile phone for talking to a male friend who was her neighbour.
