Wikipedia denies receiving notice from government; here’s what it said

Wikipedia has denied receiving any notice from the Indian government, countering recent reports. Earlier this week, reports said that the Information and Broadcasting ministry has sent a notice to the platform asking why it should not be treated as a publisher instead of an intermediary. Now, a Money Control report says that Wikipedia Foundation – the nonprofit that operates Wikipedia said that it has not received any official notice from the Centre on Wikipedia in the last two days.
