Karnataka Bitcoin case: court grants bail to police officer, cites digital nature of evidence

A sessions court in Bengaluru has granted bail to a police officer, who was arrested on October 7 by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Karnataka Police in connection with an alleged Bitcoin scam in Karnataka, citing the digital nature of evidence in the case.

The sessions court granted bail to Sridhar Pujar, a deputy superintendent of police accused of tampering and accessing two laptops seized from the custody of an international hacker Srikrishna Ramesh alias Sriki after he was arrested in November 2020.
