Apple’s cheaper Vision headset may have been delayed, but it has a new headset coming next year
Apple is set to release an updated Vision Pro headset featuring its upcoming M5 chip in 2025, while plans for a more affordable model have been pushed back beyond 2027, according to noted Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The current Vision Pro, which launched earlier this year with an M2 chip, starts at $3,499. The planned processor upgrade to M5 would mark a significant performance leap for the mixed-reality headset, though Kuo did not specify what other changes might accompany the new chip. The second-gen Vision Pro is expected to cost the same as its predecessor, or even more considering it would be getting a chip upgrade.
