US needs to crack down on Chinese chipmaker SMIC, Republican lawmaker says

A top Republican lawmaker has accused the Biden administration of not doing enough to prevent China’s Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC) from strengthening the country’s chipmaking industry and military-industrial complex.
