During the company’s Q3 earnings call on Tuesday, Google CEO Sundar Pichai revealed a significant development: more than a quarter of the new code produced by the tech giant is now generated by artificial intelligence (AI).
Pichai noted that using AI for coding tasks is substantially “boosting productivity and efficiency” at Google. He emphasised that, while AI is instrumental in generating code, every piece undergoes rigorous checks and reviews by human engineers before finalisation.
