Satcom companies, telcos speak in 2 voices on spectrum price

New Delhi: Global satcom bigwigs SpaceX, Amazon’s Kuiper and Globalstar want India to allocate satellite spectrum administratively for 20 years at minimal charges, while telecom operators Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea are pushing for allocation at market-determined prices to ensure a level playing field.
