Apple makes a comeback to China’s top 5 smartphone vendors with iPhone 16 strong sales
Apple has bounced back to become China’s second-largest smartphone vendor in the third quarter of 2024, following strong iPhone 16 sales, though the company faces mounting pressure from a resurgent Huawei, according to data released by IDC.
The iPhone maker captured 15.6% of the Chinese smartphone market, trailing only Vivo’s 18.6% market share. However, Apple’s position remains precarious, with its market share declining from 16.1% in the same period last year and shipments dropping 0.3% year-over-year.
