US FTC announces “Click to Cancel” rule: What is it and how will it help users to manage subscriptions

The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has announced a final “click-to-cancel” rule. This rule will require sellers to make cancelling subscriptions as easy as it was to sign up for their customers. With this rule into effect, users will be able to cancel subscriptions with a single click just like Most of the final rule’s provisions will go into effect 180 days after it is published in the Federal Register, the FTC noted.
