Meta fires staff for using free meal vouchers to buy household goods

Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram, has reportedly fired about 24 staff at its Los Angeles offices for misusing the tech firm’s meal voucher system, with some using it to purchase items such as toothpaste and washing powder.

Other violations of the policy included sharing the vouchers with others or exceeding the allocated budget, according to individuals who claim to work at Meta.
