Global framework needed for ethical AI that balances privacy, respects diversity: PM Modi at India Mobile Congress

The world’s global institutions should work on a common global governance framework for digital technologies, especially around ethical use of artificial intelligence and data privacy, while respecting the diversity of various countries, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Tuesday.

“Time has come that the global institutions of the world work on a framework for digital technologies. The framework should consist of the dos and don’ts. Most digital pools and applications are beyond the boundaries of any particular country. No country can protect its citizens from cyber threats on its own.
