Dan Riccio, a key Apple executive who played crucial roles during both the Steve Jobs and Tim Cook eras, is set to retire this month, according to Bloomberg sources familiar with the matter. Riccio, currently overseeing Apple’s push into mixed-reality headsets, will be leaving the company after a 26-year career.
The Vision Products Group, led by Riccio and comprising thousands of engineers working on headsets and related technology, will now fall under the responsibility of John Ternus, Apple’s hardware chief.
