Brazil’s top court says Elon Musk’s X paid fines to wrong bank

Elon Musk’s X, formerly known as Twitter, paid millions of dollars as fine in Brazil, but to a wrong account. Brazil’s Supreme Court said on Friday that lawyers representing the microblogging platform X did not pay pending fines to the right bank. Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes confirmed that X had paid the full amount but into a different account, due to which the court had to postpone its decision on whether to allow the tech firm to resume services in Brazil.
