How a father lost $30,000 to AI voice scam; here’s how he was tricked

A US resident recently shared how his father almost fell victim to a voice-cloning scam. Jay Shooster, who is running for the Florida State House, revealed that scammers used AI to clone his voice. He also noted that these scammers deceived his parents into believing he had been in a car accident and arrested for DUI and demanded Rs 25 lakh (approximately $30,000) for bail.
