WhatsApp introduces new backgrounds and filters; users can now make ‘dreamy’ video calls

Meta’s WhatsApp has introduced exciting new features, ones that would appeal more to Gen-Z and millennials. Users can now personalise their video calls with custom backgrounds and filters, and add a creative and personal touch to both one-on-one and group calls.

In a post on his WhatsApp channel, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote, “Rolling out some new filters and backgrounds for video calls, so had to test them out,” while sharing some of the filter and background effects.
