Spotify CEO tells why he avoids playing sports with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg: “The rule I have with Mark is I don’t try ….”

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek revealed that he refuses to play sports with his longtime friend, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, due to their fiercely competitive natures. In a recent interview on the Acquired podcast, Ek said, “The rule I have with Mark is I don’t try to go into a competition with him because I know it’ll end badly for both of us.”
Ek and Zuckerberg’s friendship dates back to 2008 when they met at a barbecue hosted by early Facebook and Spotify investor Sean Parker.
