Gurgaon police book WhatsApp directors, nodal officers for ‘not furnishing information’

The Gurgaon police on Saturday booked the directors and nodal officers of WhatsApp for alleged “non-adherence to statutory directives” after they failed to furnish records of the accused in a case dating back to May.

The complaint, filed by an Inspector at the Cybercrime police station, said that a probe is underway in a case of cheating and IT Act at the same station.
