Google NotebookLM can now summarise YouTube videos and turn them into a podcast

Google recently announced that it is adding a bunch of new features to NotebookLM, its AI-powered note taking app that can summarise, explain and generate content from your documents.

In a blog post, the tech giant said that Gemini 1.5 Pro powered NotebookLM can now be used to get summaries of YouTube videos and audio files. Google says users have been using the “new source types” to get key summaries of key concepts and explore a video using the inline citations linked to a video’s transcript. As for audio recordings, NotebookLM can now be used to find specific information and eliminate the need to listen to long audio files.
