You can now get a new Jio eSIM and activate it yourself on your smartphone or tablet for free

Jio just made getting a new SIM card a lot easier in India. When we say SIM card, we don’t mean a physical SIM, but an eSIM, which can now be bought and activated directly on a smartphone or a tablet with eSIM support, without leaving your home.

This is quite different from Jio SIM home delivery, where personnel from Jio will physically visit your place to hand-deliver a new SIM card and complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process to activate the SIM card. With Jio’s latest eSIM initiative, one can now get a new Jio connection and activate it themselves.
