Gearing up for 4G: Airtel makes billion-dollar call for equipment

Kolkata: Bharti Airtel, India’s second-largest telecom operator, is set to award about $1 billion (Rs 8,375 crore) worth of orders to Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung for acquiring 4G network gear over the next three years, said people aware of the matter.
